National Electrical Code (NEC) Changes and |
The 2008 edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC) has been issued, and there are changes included in the NEC having a potential impact on requirements in various UL standards. UL staff members have reviewed the NEC requirements and identified UL standards that may potentially need to be updated. The list of NEC changes and the potential UL standards changes needed are identified in the following database.

The UL standards development process is an open process, and anyone is welcome to develop a proposal at any time for any reason, such as to address NEC changes. Proposals should be submitted directly into UL's Collaborative Standards Development System (CSDS) at http://csds.ul.com.
