1.1 These requirements cover hand-operated pumps intended to handle chemicals and similar liquids.
1.2 These pumps are intended to be attached to a barrel, a drum, a carboy, or a similar container, using connection means provided with the pump.
1.3 Hand-operated pumps investigated to the requirements of this Outline shall be evaluated using the applicable fluids the pump is intended to be used with as specified by the manufacturer.
1.4 This Outline does not cover hand-operated pumps for use with:
a) Flammable and combustible liquids or
b) Water.
