This fourth issue of the Outline of Investigation for Unvented Alcohol Fuel Burning Decorative Appliances is being issued to clarify:
a) Products covered by this outline are intended to be decorative and not for use as heaters.
b) Wall mounted appliances are not intended to have the size/weight requirement, as indicated in 1.1.
c) Jurisdictional guidelines, see 1.3.
d) Nitrogen Dioxide limit in an air free sample is 0.002 percent, see 13.10.
e) Stability Test, with respect to wall-mounted and floor-mounted units, see 16.3 and 16.4.
f) Markings related to electrical properties, wick-type heaters, and chimneys are not applicable to this Outline of Investigation.
