Summary of Topics

This second issue of the Outline of Investigation for LP-Gas Cylinder Assemblies, Subject 2003, covers requirements for liquefied petroleum gas (LP-Gas) cylinder assemblies employing U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) type cylinders, but no longer references Transport Canada (TC) type cylinders. It was never intended that this outline be used for certification of cylinders for use in Canada. These cylinder assemblies have a water capacity greater than 2.2 pounds (1 kg), equivalent to [1-pound (0.5-kg) LP-Gas] but not greater than 1000 pound (454.5 kg) water capacity, which is equivalent to [420 pound (191 kg) LP-Gas capacity]. Other changes are editorial in nature are meant to clarify requirements in the first issue.
