This revision of UL 246 is being issued to modify the hose cap chain requirements in Section 16, Hose Caps, when used for the securement of hose caps to hydrants; and to modify the test pressure specifications in Section 24, Strength of Body, to four times the rated pressure. Other minor updating such as movement of requirements to continue on next page or deletion of excess spacings, where appropriate, may have been updated, however no substantive changes other than revisions to 16.7, 24.1 and 24.2 have been incorporated in this standard.
