This Eighth Edition of the Standard for Room Air Conditioners, UL 484, has been issued to reflect the latest ANSI approval date and to incorporate the proposal dated September 7, 2007. This proposal includes the following:
1. Definition for Computer Room Air Conditioners
2. Exception to Required LCDI or AFCI, in Clause 10.2.2, for Computer Room Air Conditioners
3. Exception to Leakage Current Limit, in Clause 34.1, for Computer Room Air Conditioners
In addition, references to outside standards have been updated, the Canadian Requirements Comparison Guide (CRG) has been deleted, typographical errors have been corrected and the entire standard has been renumbered in accordance with UL policy.
