These revisions to ANSI/UL 588 include the following changes in requirements:
• Revision to the definition for non-electrically-operated ornaments.
• Addition of requirements for CXTW wire with decorative covering.
• Addition of requirements for cord connectors with a nonstandard configuration.
• Addition of an exception for plated steel leads in an LED series lamp.
• Revision to limit the use of spring-loaded contacts to series-connected lighting strings.
• Revision of requirements to allow different rated bulbs in the same string.
• Revision of requirements for lighting sculptures.
• Revision to the cord tag markings.
• Correction of the marking in 123.6.
• Miscellaneous revisions to correct editorial errors and to clarify requirements.
