These revisions to ANSI/UL 1081 are being issued to update the scope, the starting current test, and the marking for a permanently installed pump provided with a supply cord and locking type attachment plug; to clarify the dielectric voltage withstand test after the water exposure test, the GFCI related markings and markings for storable swimming pool pumps; and the Important Safety Instructions relating to ground-fault protection; to change the hydrostatic pressure test parameters and the minimum letter height for cautionary markings; to add additional options concerning the location of cord tag markings; and to delete the markings for electrically-operated pool covers.
